Foxes and Sparrows

Hello adventurers,
This was our second week at camp, and it was a blast!

On Monday, the Foxes and Sparrows combined in the morning for some serious competition. They raced through the obstacle course, each competing for the best time. Cohen McInnis had our time to beat, coming in at 45 seconds, only narrowly beating out Warren’s 48 seconds

Then, they braved the climbing wall where they raced each other to the top once again.

Later, we split these adventurers into two groups where they explored the woods and campgrounds in search of the coolest, creepiest critters they could find! These two groups of our youngest campers have some seriously competitive spirits!

Ravens

On Tuesday, the Ravens did an awesome scavenger hunt! They had 12 different places that
they had to get to and snap a quick pic. Some of the objectives required more than a simple smile, however. The scavenger hunt asked them to climb crumbly cliffs, raise a flag, and venture through the dark and dreary tunnel.

These challenges and clues all led them to a buried treasure that was hidden deep behind the Gully. The treasure then hinted towards the final clue that there was something waiting at the Lodge for them -- new 2022 Red Rock stickers!
Lots of laughs and fun times were had by the Ravens this week. Great job team!

Falcons

Our Wednesday Falcons are one adventurous group! They carried on from their success lastweek with plenty of awesome teamwork. This is our largest group, and they definitely have found a way to use that to their advantage. Although it was a wet one, these adventurers braved the weather and played a camp wide telephone game. Running through the mud and getting soaked were right up the Falcons alley. To end it all off, we played the “pass the flame” game in the cabin so we could dry off. Great job this week Falcons, keep it up!

Rangers

Friday is our oldest, most experienced group. The Rangers! This group of girls are not to be
messed with. Given their expertise with fire, they whipped up a quick flame and cooked some tasty treats over the open fire. But what’s a Red Rock experience without some silly clothes to go along with it? Ella Francis suited up in a wonderful shining pink vest that really contrasted well against Parker’s rad leather jacket. Then the fun was swept off into our hanging net where the children chased, tagged, and wrestled each other down to the ground. Friday was an all around spectacular day; can’t wait to do it again next week!
